HOTD started today!

It´s about Zombies (what else, right?), boobs and panties. It´s like L4D mixed with highschool and such. Short, it´s really good. Madhouse made a great adoption of the manga.

If you don´t want to wait till sunday for the next episode then write me a pm and i give you one or two links where you can read the manga to this serie.^^

Holy crap, I'm pretty sure this is the first anime ever that takes place in a zombie apocalypse setting.

Awesome. I think they overdid it on the panty-shots and stuff though, not that I'm complaining. ;D

Kinda surprised they're animating this, seeing as the manga more or less just stopped for a long ass time. But it seems its gonna be only 13 episodes.
I'm hearing mixed reviews about the first episode though, seems its just pure fanservice.

Well, as for the many pantyshots and melon-boobs the artist is a hentai-artist so that was to expected as their style. ^^

But yeah, the first episode had alot of such scenes, maybe they wanted a sexy counterpart for the bloody horror, maybe they tought they get more viewers that way, dunno.^g^

From what i read so far, most are surprised that the first episode was so near at the original and that they made the animation so well, basically for most the anime meet his expections and those were hyped to no-end before. XD

And yeah, i have read the manga so rest assured, there will be some chara developpement. Smile

Manga will get new chapter at the end of this month btw.

Story wise, its a bad Role Play with way to much sexual tension...
Also, too many convenient things happen, you won't see it yet; however, die hard survivalists will groan about it.

The artist may be great at drawing and the writing is done by a different guy, it gets to be more of a main stream drama with zombies. The artist goes on to make an even worse manga later on...

Great talent, but his work could be much better.

Actually now that I see the anime Opening Vid they totally spoil the "secret weapon stash"+Hummer they Stumble upon... completely kills the suspense they built up at first when they start packin an M14, a Scoped SR-10 and an Ithica M35.

The fan-service felt a bit weird.
I mean, are we supposed to be aroused by seeing a girls panties, while she's torn apart by freaking zombies?

Or is that just a more sophisticated way to squick us?

i just read how far in the manga thay got and i realy hate how thay just stoped there i realy hope thay continue the manga b4 the show catches up mostly becuse if thay decide to keep going past that point thay tend to just charlie foxtrot the hell out of the thing

i tried reading the manga once. Couldn't get through more than 3 chapters because there's more panties and boobs than zombies. As a straight male, I felt there were TOO MANY BOOBS AND PANTY-SHOTS. That's how much fanservice was in there. Too much. At one point, nuclear-warhead-sized tits literally were hanging out of the frame they were so big, and at that point, I just stopped reading. Eh, what the hell, I'll give the anime a shot. One episode can't hurt, right?

EDIT: ok, watched it! Actually, that was way better than the manga. Still had a lot of unnecessary "ohai thar, check it out, butts and panties" moments, but it was actually easier to follow the plot, and, despite the less-than-decent subs, it was pretty entertaining. Needed more of the glasses kid with the nail gun, but I'm sure he'll be in the next episode, pacing will be different for the show, obviously. I'm actually kinda looking forward to the next episode and some better quality subs! Alright!

Saw episode 2. The boing boing part killed me. It was so obviously stupid it was already funny again. XD

Was a bit slower and with the introduction of the rest of the main cast. Love Hirano (fat gun otaku) and Saeko (smexy badass senpai), they just kick zombieass! Very Happy

I believe that this fanservice is mostly mean as a joke (in the manga you see naked woman zombies o.o) like the director of the anime did an interview and was very sarcastic about the fanservice he presents in the HOTD anime.^g^

Guess it´s funny to see pantys when the girl who has them on is getting eaten? Quite a barbaric sarcasmen.^^;

My thoughts on episode 2:

That nail-gun rifle is the best thing ever. It's almost sad that they eventually upgrade to real guns. Almost.

God, that nurse pisses me off, and I don't know why. It's probably those ridiculously improbable boobs. Although the silly bouncy sound effects were pretty funny. I dunno, I feel like they're trying really hard to make it seem like all the fanservice is sarcastic, but I think they just really like any excuse to draw a skirt blowing around. Ah well.

well so far the only good part of the manga is the end of the Asami ark that recently happened. That was quite good.
Mostly because they actually built up to it over multiple chapters. Well done on that, we need more of it and less distractions and weird comedy popping in the completely wrong times.

Tres amusant.

I don't watch anime, and I'm really new to zombiculture (the only zombie movie I ever saw was the original Night of the Living Dead from the 60's, and that was 25 years ago. Oh yeah, ad there's this comic I've been following...).

I guess what I'm saying is that I don't have much to compare it to. The boobs and panties were a bit much, but not really distracting (not as much as they would be to the average high school boy, I guess). Not a bad srory so far...
